How it works

If you are a Duke Energy residential electric customer with a qualifying Amazon Smart Thermostat for cooling, you can receive a $75 bill credit for enrolling in the Power Manager smart thermostat option. Plus, if you stay enrolled, you get an additional $25 bill credit each year. Let's work together to help reduce our energy use during peak demand times.

Help reduce energy use

During the winter and summer, Duke Energy may occasionally adjust the temperature by no more than 4 degrees on the enrolled thermostat(s) in your home for less than four hours during periods of peak energy demand. Events will not occur on weekends or holidays, except in the event of a rare system emergency. You can opt out of peak energy events from your mobile device, web browser or thermostat.

Help your community

Duke Energy customers like you are enrolling in the Power Manager smart thermostat option and working together to help reduce energy demand while getting rewards.
