If you are an Appalachian Power VA residential electric customer with a qualifying Wi-Fi-connected thermostat for cooling, you can receive a $50 e-gift card for enrolling in the Bring Your Own Thermostat program. Plus you will receive $5 per month (May through September), up to $25 e-gift card per year, for each central cooling unit enrolled. Let's work together to help reduce our energy use during peak demand times.

From May 1 through September 30, Appalachian Power may occasionally adjust the temperature by a few degrees on the enrolled thermostat(s) in your home for less than four hours during periods of peak energy demand. Events will not occur on weekends or holidays, except in the event of a rare system emergency. You can opt out of peak energy events from your mobile device, web browser or thermostat.
