SMECO will reward you for conserving energy by making small, temporary adjustments to your smart thermostat during peak energy demand.

You can opt out of thermostat adjustments at any time from your mobile device, web browser, or thermostat.

Thermostats make it easy and convenient to manage your home’s energy use. And by signing up with SMECO’s SmartTemp program, you’ll receive additional rewards.
By enrolling your thermostat, you agree to let SMECO make brief, small adjustments to your thermostat during times of peak electric demand.
If you use your smart thermostat for cooling, you can earn up to $50 each summer, paid in $10 bill credits each month. Enroll your smart thermostat to start earning for summer only.
If you use your smart thermostat for cooling and electric heating, you may be eligible for SmartTemp Year Round. SMECO will reach out to eligible SmartTemp customers to enroll.
If you were previously enrolled in SMECO’s FlexTemp pilot program, you can now earn up to $96 per year as part of SmartTemp Year Round. Learn more about SmartTemp Year Round.
